Objectives
Eunomad’s goal is to develop an European network of civil society organisations which work relates to the migration-development nexus.
Eunomad seeks to:
- enhance its members’ guidance activities in the field of migration and development
- develop lobbying efforts to gain public policy support for the migration/development nexus and its benefits for migrants as well as origin and European societies.
The network develops several types of activities:
- Coordination. Developing a flexible and a dynamic network of exchanges between organisations working towards the migration/development nexus.
- Capitalisation. Encouraging the evaluation of practices, reports and capitalisation between member organisations.
- Study. Analyzing relevant policies and their impacts on the practices of the migration/development nexus in Europe.
- Lobbying. Elaborate recommendations for decision-makers in the EU member states and in the migrants’ origin countries, as well for international organisations such as the Council of Europe, the United Nations and in particular the European Union.
The Eunomad network is thus at once:
> A centre for the capitalisation of best practices of its members,
> A forum for sharing experiences where partners evaluate each other’s work and pool resources such as tools and methods,
> A laboratory for practical experiences to encourage innovation in the migration/development nexus.
